✧ Can you tell that this is a Moroccan Tribe Treasure?

Here’s a precious treasure, immersed in history, elegance and all that is artistic and sweet. Tribe Berber Rugs will definitely appease the decor stylist in you!

Your home will not only have a luxurious masterpiece that will transform your interior, but also a distinguished treasure that tells beautiful tales of Berber traditions.

To acquire this gem, we’ve travelled through the Anti-Atlas Mountains; first by car, then on foot. Berber craftswomen of the Atlas Mountains create these masterpieces based on age-old traditions that date back to Paleolithic times.

Berber craftswomen of the Atlas Mountains do not know how to write with a pen - but they excel at writing with hands, needles, wool and thread. It takes 7 to 8 weeks to create this exceptional piece of art.

To collect wool, these resilient artists acquire their wool from nearby souks in the region. Seamlessly soft, extra virgin and specially harvested from a certain breed of sheep. The wool is then washed in a river using natural soap made from plants. And according to a dear Berber tradition - the wool must be laid beneath a starlit sky in order to ward off the evil eye. So you’re getting quality, evil-free Berber Rug!

After spinning the wool, the Berber craftswomen prepare their looms. And the rest - is magic! A passionate, heartwarming and delightful process takes place!

There are different Moroccan Craftsmanship trades. Thanks to these trades and natural items such as wood, stone, iron, leather, wool and copper, thousands of families are fighting their way through life and its hardships.

Our priority is to develop work conditions for artisans in the Atlas Mountains, weaving skills and know-how, and further encourage knowledge in this field. Thanks to trades such as this one, countless families will have a better, brighter future.

Together, we'll shape a better world for families in the Atlas Mountains, and we'll provide them with the means to continue doing the thing they love most — and that's weaving gorgeous carpets!

Are the Artisans Paid Reasonably?

We have a long, lasting relationship with our artisans. Craftsmen are fairly compensated for their work and also benefit from subsidies allowing them to fulfil themselves financially and personally.

It remains as our duty to guide these artisans through the business world. And we're determined to making them flourish and conquer a field that's dominated by mass-producers and underpaying factories.

We focus on a strict observance of the principles that underlie fundamental human and labour rights. Moreover, 15% of the profits are reinvested in the development of rural communities.
