Each carpet has a history, a provenance. Their name indicates the region where they are woven, the ethnic group, the tribe. The real experts can tell you its age and place of manufacture. And yes, they have their own patterns, colors and twisting methods.

Whether they are short wool carpets like the kilim or high wool carpets like the Beni ouarain, they all come from different Berber regions of Morocco (Atlas, Taznakht, Sahara, Azilal,...).

Berber rugs are known to be the most elegant and refined. They are essential if you want to create a warm, bohemian and chic interior decoration. Apart from the decorative aspect, they are also functional and comfortable.

Genuine Moroccan wool Berber rugs are recognizable by different aspects and criteria. In order not to fall on an imitation, we advise you to read these precisions:

  • The material: The wool can be knotted, woven, embroidered. It is very soft and extra virgin coming from a breed of sheep from the Middle Atlas
  • The knotting: A true Berber carpet will necessarily have irregularities. This is what makes its charm and will confirm that the carpet was made by hand (the differences in the knotting will be noticed on the reverse side). An industrial carpet will have no false notes.
  • The fringe: As you may have noticed, it is located at one end of the Berber carpet.

You can put a rug in any corner of your house. Whether it is in your living room, your bedroom or even a hallway, there are rugs of all sizes. We can also offer you custom-made rugs. If you need advice, do not hesitate to contact us.
